Earthing for Dogs. A Natural Remedy.

Research has shown that many natural therapies can help and even alleviate various conditions. That is why Earthing ( or Grounding) is something that all of us at Hixx practise. The simple act of placing your feet on the ground and connecting directly with the Earth has been shown to have many beneficial effects on our health.

It works by connecting ( standing on the earth) to the earth’s natural energy in the form of negative ions which have a balancing effect on the body’s electrical system. They can help reducing stress, improving sleep, and boosting the immune system. Also by earthing, dogs may experience improved blood circulation, leading to better oxygenation of tissues and organs.

This all leads to reduced anxiety and stress, improved sleep, enhanced immune function and pain relief from arthritis and other joint pain.

What is key to remember is that whilst your dog does walk bare foot, the surface they walk on isn’t always a suitable conductor of the negative ions.

Surfaces of concrete, asphalt and artificial turf will not allow for earthing. The best surfaces are of course the natural ones, namely grass, dirt and sand. Earthing mats are available for indoors but walking outside in Nature is always best because of everything else that goes along with that.
